One of my favorite places in the whole world is my Grandma's house. We used to spend several weeks there during the summer growing up and those were always some of my favorite weeks! We kept ourselves busy playing on the houseboat, riding bikes down to Gene's IGA to buy tons of candy, playing at the boat landings, canoeing out to the sandbars, taking houseboat rides on the Mississippi with Grandpa & Grandma, playing cops & robbers, watching the Price is Right and having Grandpa tell us to go outside and play, playing 31 with Grandma, making huge messes with pop on the table when we were playing with Grandpa's shot glasses, my list could go on and on. Thankfully my mom lives really close to my grandma so we're able to go visit her quite a bit when I'm there during the summer. It's so wonderful to see another generation of kids playing out in the yard, hearing the screen door slam when they're running in and out of the house, and getting their feet as black as ours used to be from running all over the driveway!
